Show Facts

  • Dinosaur Jr. — “Several Got Away” is the first single from their 2026 album There Near, their first new record in five years. J Mascis intentionally chased the guitar tone from the band’s 1985 debut by buying the same vintage Mesa Boogie amp used on that album.
  • Blue Heron Holy Ghost is one of the newer dream-pop/shoegaze acts emerging from Bandcamp and streaming playlists.
  • Awbrey85 is part of a growing internet-native scene where artists collaborate almost entirely online. Their music mixes hyperpop, emo, and lo-fi production with deeply personal lyrics.
  • nyghtingale an underground artist whose music combines bedroom indie with atmospheric electronic elements.
  • CASTLEBEAT is the solo project of Josh Hwang. He writes, records, performs, and produces nearly everything himself.
  • Temples is an English psychedelic rock band from Kettering. Their debut album was produced by James Bagshaw in his home studio and earned praise from Noel Gallagher and Johnny Marr.
  • Despite the name, Tame Impala is almost entirely the work of Australian musician Kevin Parker. Parker records nearly every instrument himself in the studio and has become one of the most influential producers of the past decade.
  • Delores Galore is a Scottish alternative rock band from Glasgow. Active during the 1990s and associated with the Britpop era, though they leaned more toward indie rock than mainstream Britpop.
  • Max Fry is a Nashville-based indie artist.
  • Radiator Hospital is a Philadelphia indie-punk band led by Sam Cook-Parrott. Known for heartfelt songwriting and fiercely DIY ethics.
  • Tycho is the project of designer and musician Scott Hansen, who also works under the visual design name ISO50.
  • Soft Palms is a duo consisting of Julia Kugel (The Coathangers) and Scott Montoya (former member of The Growlers).
  • Starry Cat was one of Sam Ray’s many projects. Ray has released music under dozens of names (Teen Suicide, Ricky Eat Acid, Julia Brown, Starry Cat, and more), making him one of indie music’s most prolific DIY artists.
